Intro to Creation Study:Evolution: The Grand Experiment

Today I am going to begin a 20 to 40 week study on Creation vs. Evolution. I will be teaching from Evolution: The Grand Experiment by Dr. Carl Warner

Origin of Life
There are two major views on the Origin of Life; an explosion in space which eventually resulted in life it self, or a supernatural being saying a few words and creating the universe.

Fun Fact: Uni (meaning one), verse (meaning spoken word) Universe = One spoken word

Charles Darwin proposed a theory that man developed by means of Acquired Characteristics. This is wrong. For example if a man lifts weights every day, his son will not be born with big muscles; Darwin did not know this, nor did he use good science and conduct an experiment to test his theory. Someone else did though,20 years later August Wisemen conducted an experiment in which he cut the tails of mice off 20 different generations in a row and, the tails still grew back.

Runing Stratgy

I don't know what distances you guys like to run but my favorites are the 1600 meter at track and the 5K (By the way I normally use english measures)
1. 1600 m(mile)
Pace your self a lot (like really slow) it may be boring but your body needs a chance to warm up. The next lap (or 1/4 mile) speed up, do this for the next 3 laps and when you are about 200 m away from the finish line sprint(again I normally use english measures.)
2. 5K
Set a goal. During your training reach that goal that goal should be a good fast time (but not like world class or anything.)
Race Day Drink those powdered drink thingys that look like this. They are good for the mile too.

As your running do what works but push your self, what I mean is if you side hurts don't slow down, take deeper breaths (etc.). Two of my major rules are 1. never stop 2. never walk, trust me it will ruin your rhythm and you will come out with your slowest time ever. Trust me.When you are about 200 m away from the finish line sprint(for the last time I normally use english measures.)

God's Creation - Mammals (Elephants)

Do you know why they say the elephant never forgets?

The elephant is one of God's masterpieces,For starters they have 400+
muscles in their trunk
Have you ever wondered why the elephant takes mud baths?(Pigs to For this Reason) Or has wrinkly skin? Or big ears? Why to cool off, of course!? God created these animals to have several ways to cool of.

1. The elephant lives in Africa and the hottest parts of Asia. The elephant has very sensitive skin, it needs a way to keep the sun off but it Doesn't have sunscreen and it can't fit under a tree...
2. Mud keeps the sun off, so it takes a mud bath!
3. The elephants wrinkly skin is made so that it catches the mud...
4. His trunk helps spray mud on the rest of his body
5. He can store up to 3 3/4 Gal. of water (liquids in general) in his trunk.

The elephant is a ballerina, looking at his bones he is walking on his tiptoes but, you can't see that because he a big protective cushion there and yet the bones still don't break because of that big protective cushion.

They say the elephant never forgets because when an elephant dies the entire herd relocates to a different area. Several years later when re-visiting the bones of the dead elephant, the herd will form a circle around the carcus as if remembering what had happened.

Fun Fact: The word elephant has its origins in the Greek word ἐλέφας witch means ivory.

God's Creation - Birds

Do you know why cranes take off into the wind?
Do you know why flamingos sleep on one leg?

God created these amazing birds and many more. The great thing is they are all great testimonies to the Creator. One of these examples is the sparrow.

The sparrow can shift each and every one of its feathers less than one degree. It can also fly through a tree without touching a branch, now that's agile!

My favorite of these examples is the falcon; particularly the peregrine falcon. The peregrine falcon can dive at over 250 mph and can fly at over 150 mph. This falcon can also see a rabbit from heights of 5 miles! Could you do that?

Evolutionists believe that these wonderful creatures came about by random evolution.Think about that for a minute. They are saying that these creations were made by chance. The chance of these birds evolving by accident is less than,

"you throwing 30,000 dice in the air and they all land on 3". Wow! "Or winning the national power ball lottery for 365 days in a roe"! Quotes taken from Evolution the Grand Experiment.

By the way.

Cranes take off into the wind to give them lift.
Flamingos sleep on one leg to keep them warm.

On Your Mark

Run for your Life?

This is the question I asked my Mom when she suggested the name, but once I got to thinking I figured out the many meanings of this name.

  • First, I love running and you know the old saying " Run for your Life! "
  • Second,Running contributes to good health
  • Lastly, life is a race. The Bible says in Hebrews (And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.)
That how I chose the title ,and I hope you like my blog.

Thanks,
